B.O.L.D. (Boys Organized for Leadership & Dignity) & G.L.O.W. (Girls Leading Our World)

B.O.L.D. (Boys Organized for Leadership & Dignity) & G.L.O.W. (Girls Leading Our World) is designed to empower our youth to live up to their full potential while overcoming any obstacles that may arise.  

OUR VISION: We can create a movement of youth leaders who know and believe in their worth. 

OUR VALUES: Men and Women of Character, Org. created B.O.L.D. (Boys Organized for Leadership & Dignity) & G.L.O.W. (Girls Leading Our World) to empower youth through our programs, workshops, and other services.

MEETINGS: Our monthly meetings provide a solid foundation to create strong, independent young men and women while building brotherhood and sisterhood.  We aim to assist each group with bonding with and mentoring the age group below theirs. This would create great unity among all members.

MEMBERSHIP:  Open to youth ages 8 through 18 who are currently in school or homeschooled. There is an annual registration fee of $20, and monthly dues are $5.00.  All fees go towards programs, services, snacks, and materials. 

STRUCTURE: B.O.L.D. (Boys Organized for Leadership & Dignity)  &    G.L.O.W. (Girls Leading Our World) into three age groups as follows:

·         Group 1: Ages 8 - 10

·         Group 2: Ages 11 - 14

·         Group 3: Ages 15 - 18

Our goal is to have college students volunteer to mentor our high school students who will volunteer our middle school students who will mentor our elementary school students. 

Each age group will also have ambassadors who will assist with membership and programming & and act as liaisons between members and advisors. 

Our monthly meetings provide a solid foundation to create strong, independent young men and women while building lifelong friendships. Our goal is to assist each group with bonding with and mentoring the group below theirs. This would create great unity amongst members.

We aim to develop strong, responsible, confident future leaders of our community by:

  • Enhancing their personal growth and self-esteem

  • Hygiene Education

  • Self-Care 

  • Encouraging Independence

  • Demonstrating Integrity in our work and interactions

  • Teaching youth to find and follow their passion

  • Encouraging academic achievement

  • Offering non-judgmental support

  • Ensuring that they are aware of current events that may directly affect them and their peers

  • Promoting community service

  • Providing mentors who serve in careers they are interested in

  • Teaching them to respect themselves as well as others

We cover several age-appropriate topics throughout the year.

Our youth host this annual Youth Empowerment Summit from start to finish.  They work with their mentors to create workshops and activities they believe will interest and benefit youth in our community.  This free event is expected to get better with each passing year.

This program is aimed at bridging the gap between our youth and senior citizens.  We will utilize special projects and events to bring both groups together.

P.R.I.D.E.

Powerful Responsible Intelligent Diverse and Exceptional): This program will focus on character education and civic responsibility with age-appropriate materials provided to youth broken into various groups.

OUTSPOKEN

This program will teach youth to speak with confidence during one on one situations and before an audience.  Our youth will be empowered to directly address and challenge the systems that affect their lives.
